  • The Executive Director of Power2Workers is responsible for providing leadership and collaborating closely with the Board of Directors to create and implement strategic plans that achieve organizational goals. This role involves training and supporting direct reports in the development and management of project plans to enhance workflow and communication, while also fostering a positive organizational culture.

    In addition, the Executive Director will lead fundraising initiatives, cultivate relationships with funders, and oversee the implementation of grants. Responsibilities include designing and developing proposals and reports, managing the organizational budget, and monitoring local hire goals across projects to identify opportunities for improvement. The Executive Director will also make executive personnel decisions regarding staff and ensure that new projects are set up with clear policies and reporting requirements.

    Furthermore, this position involves developing training programs to provide staff with essential tools and resources, organizing and leading annual fundraising events, and managing grant applications while ensuring compliance with reporting and budgeting. Engaging with clients to ensure satisfaction and working collaboratively with union representatives to create career pathways for participants are also key responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and management skills, relevant experience in nonprofit management or workforce development, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in fundraising and grant management, all while maintaining a strategic focus on community engagement and empowerment.

  • A Project Labor Agreement Coordinator is accountable for achieving successful outcomes on projects and plays a key role in strategic outreach and engagement. This position leads preconstruction meetings, conducts candidate orientations and pre-screenings, and manages referrals and placements. Additionally, the coordinator fosters positive job site relations and provides supportive services to ensure candidates succeed on-site.

  • The Outreach and Engagement Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to increase the pool of available workers. This role involves analyzing project areas, setting monthly metrics, and building connections with local partners. Key responsibilities include creating a social media calendar to enhance engagement, fostering relationships with workforce development partners for referrals, and collaborating with unions on recruitment efforts.

    The manager will coordinate resume submissions, lead community outreach events, provide monthly updates, and facilitate participant information sessions. A primary focus is to ensure a robust pool of "Ready to Work" candidates for placements. Additionally, the manager will oversee outreach strategists and coordinators to ensure effective implementation of outreach initiatives.

  • The Project Coordinator is responsible for managing the SharePoint Local Hire Tracker database, which includes data entry and reviewing resumes to match candidates with available positions. Key responsibilities involve reaching out to community partners and training facilities, conducting orientations and pre-screenings for "Ready to Work" candidates, and tracking candidate referrals.

    As the lead Project Labor Agreement (PLA) placement coordinator, the Project Coordinator will engage with employers, coordinate interviews, and facilitate a smooth onboarding process for candidates.

    Additional duties include attending project meetings, ensuring candidates have the necessary PPE and tools, and building relationships with unions for sponsorship. The coordinator will also prepare monthly reports detailing outreach efforts, available candidates, and hiring activities. Other tasks include updating project trackers, monitoring communications, celebrating hires on social media, and participating in staff meetings and company events. Additional projects may be assigned as needed.

    Additionally, the coordinator updates project trackers, monitors emails, follows up with subcontractors to encourage filling positions, and creates social media posts to celebrate candidate hires. They participate in monthly staff meetings and manage other projects as assigned by their manager.
