  • The Executive Director of Power2Workers is responsible for providing leadership and collaborating closely with the Board of Directors to create and implement strategic plans that achieve organizational goals. This role involves training and supporting direct reports in the development and management of project plans to enhance workflow and communication, while also fostering a positive organizational culture.

    In addition, the Executive Director will lead fundraising initiatives, cultivate relationships with funders, and oversee the implementation of grants. Responsibilities include designing and developing proposals and reports, managing the organizational budget, and monitoring local hire goals across projects to identify opportunities for improvement. The Executive Director will also make executive personnel decisions regarding staff and ensure that new projects are set up with clear policies and reporting requirements.

    Furthermore, this position involves developing training programs to provide staff with essential tools and resources, organizing and leading annual fundraising events, and managing grant applications while ensuring compliance with reporting and budgeting. Engaging with clients to ensure satisfaction and working collaboratively with union representatives to create career pathways for participants are also key responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and management skills, relevant experience in nonprofit management or workforce development, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in fundraising and grant management, all while maintaining a strategic focus on community engagement and empowerment.

  • The Project Coordinator oversees the SharePoint Local Hire Tracker database, handling data entry and reviewing candidate resumes. They actively engage with community partners, conduct orientations and pre-screenings for "Ready to Work" candidates, and track available candidates for referrals. As the lead placement coordinator, they connect with employers to refer candidates and advocate for interviews to secure permanent employment.

    Key responsibilities include coordinating the interview process, ensuring candidates are prepared for their first day, and maintaining communication with supervisors. The coordinator attends project meetings, monitors onsite subcontractor activity, and ensures candidates have the necessary PPE and tools. They also build relationships with unions for sponsorships and prepare monthly reports on outreach efforts and hiring activities.

    Additionally, the coordinator updates project trackers, monitors emails, follows up with subcontractors to encourage filling positions, and creates social media posts to celebrate candidate hires. They participate in monthly staff meetings and manage other projects as assigned by their manager.
