  • LOS ANGELES, CA — This holiday season, Power2Workers, a woman-led nonprofit organization, is delivering more than hope to Southern California communities—it’s providing sustainable employment opportunities and affordable housing solutions. Dedicated to creating a brighter future for local residents, Power2Workers is empowering individuals through job placement, training, and mentorship in the construction industry, while playing a vital role in the development of affordable housing across the region.

As the season of giving unfolds, Power2Workers is calling on community leaders, businesses, and residents to support its mission of uplifting neighborhoods and providing life-changing opportunities to those who need them most. By helping individuals secure stable employment and contributing to affordable housing projects, Power2Workers is transforming lives while bringing holiday cheer to communities in need.

Power2Workers: Building Hope and Careers in Southern California

Led by advocates Margaret White and Pamela Paige, Power2Workers has partnered with over 60 community organizations, unions, and pre-apprenticeship training providers to ensure local residents have access to meaningful construction jobs. The organization’s initiatives include on-site mentorship, transitional worker certification, and job retention support, all tailored to meet local hire requirements for public and private development projects.

“During the holidays, we’re reminded of the power of community,” said Margaret White, Executive Director of Power2Workers. “By giving people the tools to succeed through employment and housing, we’re building more than careers—we’re building hope and stability for families across Southern California.”

    Current Power2Workers Projects

Power2Workers is at the heart of several transformative projects throughout Los Angeles County and beyond. Key initiatives include Brine Residential and 6th & San Julian, where the organization connects local and transitional workers to jobs that drive both economic growth and community revitalization. In San Pedro, projects like 456 West 9th Street Lofts and Beacon Landing combine workforce development with affordable housing, supporting underserved populations while enhancing neighborhoods.

Veterans are a core focus, with initiatives such as the West LA Veterans Administration Campus, delivering over 600 housing units tailored for veterans while providing employment for local workers. In South Los Angeles, the Jordan Downs Redevelopment transforms a historic housing community, bringing jobs and affordable housing to an area with deep roots and growing needs.

Through partnerships with developers like Mercy Housing, Abode Communities, and BRIDGE Housing, Power2Workers ensures local hire goals are met while fostering long-term community benefits. The organization’s holistic approach ensures that individuals not only secure jobs but thrive in their careers, helping to break cycles of poverty and unemployment.

Every contribution spreads holiday cheer by giving individuals the opportunity to build brighter futures.

“With every donation, you’re giving more than financial support,” said Pamela Paige, co-founder of Power2Workers. “You’re giving hope, stability, and the gift of a better tomorrow to those who need it most.”
