The organization’s initiatives include on-site mentorship, transitional worker certification, and job retention support, all tailored to meet local hire requirements for public and private development projects.

    Power2Workers is at the heart of several transformative projects throughout Los Angeles County and beyond. Key initiatives include Brine Residential and 6th & San Julian, where the organization connects local and transitional workers to jobs that drive both economic growth and community revitalization. In San Pedro, projects like 456 West 9th Street Lofts and Beacon Landing combine workforce development with affordable housing, supporting underserved populations while enhancing neighborhoods.

    Veterans are a core focus, with initiatives such as the West LA Veterans Administration Campus, delivering over 600 housing units tailored for veterans while providing employment for local workers. In South Los Angeles, the Jordan Downs Redevelopment transforms a historic housing community, bringing jobs and affordable housing to an area with deep roots and growing needs.

    Through partnerships with developers like Mercy Housing, Abode Communities, and BRIDGE Housing, Power2Workers ensures local hire goals are met while fostering long-term community benefits. Cory Hyde, Placement Manager, builds relationships with unions and contractors to meet local hiring goals.

    Ever Diaz, Outreach and Engagement Coordinator, connects workers with opportunities through community outreach. Compliance is managed by Wendy Espinoza and Johana Escobar, ensuring hiring practices meet regulations. Clark Canez, Excel Compliance Auditor, oversees auditing standards, providing essential support.
